Part of a series of work on accidentally broken vases. This deconstructed object has lost both purpose and identity. By suspending the vase horizontally a process of redefining take place. The broken elements are left on the floor as evidence of the trauma. Migrating tests the capacity of organisms to adapt and survive. During the reconstruction the body is stabilized and extended with different elements; metal rods are added on both sides, creating a tension and engendering the essence of a bird gliding in times of migration. During the mutation the object acquire an autonomy and a new identity emerges. The nylon strings unfolding recall the Araba Fenice: a metaphor for a rebirth after death. Post Fata Resurgo
